A local professional photographer wanted to begin selling beginner photography courses on his website. Collaborating with him and other SMEs, the course previewed above was planned and developed using the ADDIE model in conjunction with backward design.
The course was build over the course of one month, using Adobe Captivate. Using systematic organization, a predictable structured experience with clear learning objectives and interactive practice results in higher learning gains. Instant feedback mechanisms promote perseverance, learning, and the transfer of knowledge. Working backwards from standards-driven goals and summative assessments to content and instruction, supported by frequent formative assessments with feedback, helps to keep learners on-track toward meeting intended learning objectives.
It's responsive layout was created using fluid boxes to allow for device-aware delivery. The course also utilizes multimedia integration effectively in order to address the needs of the learners. Using multiple media types and representations in instruction reinforces ideas, provides for effective modeling of concepts, caters to multiple learning styles, and promotes engagement.
The course was also built with a branch-aware module list. This unique feature will allow learners access to the assessment only after the required modules have been completed.
Within the software, numerous different states and advanced scripts were created. These advanced scripts change the formatting and style of the interactive elements on each slide and act as signifiers for users, which enhance the UI and UX.
